61 year old man arrested after incident in Cemetery Road Southport yesterday

A Merseyside Police spokesperson said: "We attended a property on Cemetery Road in response to initial reports of a civil dispute.

"At around 12.30pm on Wednesday, December 15 a man was detained on suspicion of threats to cause criminal damage and enquiries are ongoing."

In an update released today,"We arrested a 61-year-old man on suspicion of threats to cause criminal damage.

"He has been released on conditional bail and enquiries are continuing."
