Ainsdale Beach closed for parking as scores of Travellers turn up with Horses

Sefton Council Rangers have closed Ainsdale Beach for parking after scores of Travellers turned up with horse boxes. They were refused entry and have now parked illegally on the pavement and in the Sands car park.

They apparently wanted to race the horses and traps along the shore. There would not be much room as the tide is high today.

Police were called but did nothing.

Hundreds of day trippers are being turned away from having a day in the sunshine on the beach
