Close call for shoppers in Morrisons Southport as high winds blow over tree

High winds ripping through Southport this afternoon have felled a tree in Morrisons car park. Fortunately the tree fell into an empty parking bay.

Staff from the supermarket have closed off the area until the tree could be removed.
