Police are continuing to appeal for information to identify a man who died after being found in Liverpool city centre on Saturday 10 May.

At around 4.35am, NWAS reported a man was found on Old Hall Street after suffering a medical episode. Sadly, he died a short time later in hospital.

Despite extensive enquiries being carried out the man has yet to be identified.

The deceased man is described as white, 6ft tall, of large build, aged around late 20s to early 30s, with brown hair and a brown beard.

He was wearing a dark North Face T-shirt with diamond patterns, grey jogging pants, black jacket and dark Nike trainers.

Detective Inspector Mike Fletcher said: “Sadly the man died following a medical episode and his death is being treated as not suspicious.

“However, we are continuing with our enquiries to identify him so we can inform his next-of-kin of his death.

“If anyone thinks they know a man matching his description please contact us a matter of urgency.”

Yesterday, Sunday 11 May, detectives issued images of a man they believe was with the deceased male earlier in the morning, Saturday.

Detective Inspector Fletcher added: “We are appealing for the man pictured to please contact us to help identify the man who died.

"We are treating him as a potential witness and believe he was with the man in the area of Old Hall Street earlier on Saturday morning.

"Likewise, if you recognise this witness in the images, or were passing or live nearby and have any information which will assist us then please get in contact.”
