Council comment after Rotten Row flooding

Sefton Council have released a statement regarding the flooding on Rotten Row recently.

A spokesperson for Sefton Council said: “We are aware of the situation on Rotten Row and the Council is attending to remove flood water as required and as capacity allows.

“It is likely that the heavy deluge of rainfall we have seen over recent days has restricted flows within the drainage networks located across the borough and resulted in this flooding.

“Planned works to improve the draining network and overall flooding issue on Rotten Row are due to begin in the coming weeks.”
