Detectives Appeal for Information after Serious Assault in Formby
Detectives are appealing for information following a serious assault in Formby last night, Saturday 7 March.
At around 11.20pm, officers were call to Three Tuns Lane to reports of an assault outside of Wall of Fame pub.
A man in his 30s was found with injuries to the head and body, and was taken to hospital for assessment. He is in a serious but stable condition. A second man in his 30s was found with minor injuries and has since been discharged from hospital.
Enquiries are ongoing in the area, including forensics, CCTV and house-to-house.
Detective Inspector Sarah Wilkinson said: "We are still piecing together exactly what happened and why. At this early stage, I'd urge any witnesses who have not yet come forward to do so as soon as possible. We are determined to do all we can to find those responsible.
"If you saw anything, know anything, or were passing by at the time, pass on any CCTV, dashcam, or doorbell footage as this may provide vital evidence."
