Early morning Police incident in London Street, Southport

Officers from Merseyside Police were called to London Street at approximately 4.40 am today. A male and female were arrested and placed in separate Police vehicles. The male was handcuffed and transferred into a Police van and taken away.

A witness near the scene thought they had been damaging property, but this has not been confirmed.
