Hetty's Great North Swim Challenge for Southport Lifeboat

We're proud to share that Hetty, one of our young supporters, is taking on an incredible challenge to raise money for the Southport Offshore Rescue Trust. This Saturday, 9-year-old Hetty will be swimming 250 metres in Lake Windermere at the Great North Swim event.

Hetty has been training regularly, swimming in the cold waters of Liverpool Docks and practising regularly in the pool. She’s also been training with her mum, taking extra lessons, and swimming with friends and family to prepare for the big day.

Here’s a message from Hetty:

"Hi, I am Hetty. I am 9 years old and I am completing my 1st outdoor / wild swim at the Great North Swim event in June. I'm raising money in aid of Southport Offshore Rescue Trust and every donation will help. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me."
