Holidaymaker to Pontins Southport finds used sanitary towels in Chalet & other disgusting stuff

Barry Powell who visited Pontins in Southport back in September found used sanitary towels in the family Chalet along with clogged up toilets in the reception area.

He left this review on TripAdvisor.

I recently came to Southport park and to be honest I felt going home within the first couple of hours, whist waiting to check in i let the children use the arcade to which i found many of the machines here broken, either by taking money and getting jammed and also not giving out tickets, i went to see a member of staff who told me to see the guy in the red t-shirt that says arcade on the back.

After looking for over 30 min i found him, i told him my problems and he told me to go see somebody else, i then went back to the staff area and they told me that he should not of said that as he is the only person that works in the arcade, so again another 20 mins trying to find him, i then seen him with another staff member, so i spoke to her and she told me to see the guy in the red top, i told her he doesnt work here and to see somebody else, she was not happy and said that she would speak to him'

Then when i finally got to my room, i was so disgusted, there was sand on the floor in the rooms, the floor did not look like it had been brushed, there seem to be traces of what looked like sick in the toilet sink, what made me sick the most was that in the bin in the toilet was used sanitary towels covered in blood, there was no toilet paper in the room or the shop and was told at 4.20pm that somebody would bring some, i then asked again at 7.40pm same answer, they also recommended that i use to toilet inside the club,

When we went to use the toilets i could not believe my eyes , i have never seen such dirty toilet's , the floor was covered in urine, the actual toilets was just disgusting that i took a bit of toilet roll back to the room as there was no way i was letting my children use the toilets

just as i thought things could not get any worse, there was a small tear in the sofa bed, when i sat on the bed and got up a piece of metal sticking through ripped my new jeans, at this point i nearly broke down and just wanted to go home, everything about this holiday was just so upsetting, i then found a member of staff and told them about the couch and he said what did he want me to do about it, i said well first of all i want a new pair of jeans and the couch sorted, at this point i went to speak to a manager.

I had to wait another 20+ mins for the manager to out, i explained my problem's and she assured me she was sorry and filled out a form and said to email you but i lost the form, she said she marked it down as unresolved (room 401), when i got back one of the staff had put a giant piece Sellotape over the hole

I come here all the time, both Prestatyn and Southport and this has to be the worst holiday that i have ever experienced and to be honest even though the kids love coming here i feel this may be the last time

I have tried to contact Pontins but they wont even reply
