Information from Southport and Ormskirk Hospitals regarding appointments on the day of the Queens funeral

On 8th September 2022, Buckingham Palace announced the death of Her Majesty The Queen.

The Trust is observing the national period of mourning, which will continue until the State Funeral.

Monday 19th September has been declared a national bank holiday for the State Funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Chief Executive’s Statement – Issued 8th September 2022
It is with great sadness that we learned of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Her Majesty was a great supporter of the NHS, most recently awarding the George Cross to our incredible staff for more than 70 years of public service including their exceptional courage and compassion during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Our thoughts are now with her family as we pay tribute and give thanks to Queen Elizabeth ll for her unwavering commitment to us all.
