Invest in a Good Lock, Police Advise New Bike Owners

Police have been working with bike retailers across the region to register new bikes on the Bike Register database at the time of sale, but if any new bikes haven't been added to the database, we will have a series of events planned across north and south Sefton after Christmas and through January. All will be advertised here.
The first one after Christmas in the Southport area will be at:

Remember that adding your bike to the Bike Register database won't stop your bike from being stolen. Only using a high quality lock will do that and we recommend spending 10% of the price of your bike on a quality lock (£50 on a £500 spend etc.) So if you have received a new bike this Christmas, and have some Christmas money burning a hole in your pocket, spend some of it on a good quality lock to go along with it.
