Isaac Buckley-Ricketts signs for Southport FC
Southport FC welcome Isaac Buckley-Ricketts to the club after confirmation of his signing .
Isaac has created quite an impression in the pre-season games and Liam Watson was quick to agree terms with the exciting attacking player.
He is 23 born in Manchester and arrives at Southport after spending his youth career with Manchester City and he went out on loan to FC Twente and Oxford United and spent the 2018-19 season with Peterborough United before returning to the region.
After progressing through the ranks of Manchester City’s Academy he signed a scholarship with the club in July 2014 and progressed quickly through the club’s U18 side and then the development squad.
Isaac has played at England Under 18, 19 and 20 level.
After being called up by England Under 18’s Isaac made his debut in March 2016, playing 74 minutes before being substituted. He went on to make four appearances for the side.
He made his England Under 19 in September 2016, coming on as a late substitute. He then scored his first England U19 goal, as well as setting up one of the goals, in a 5–1 win against Belarus. Isaac was in the team that won the 2017 UEAF European Under 19 Championship in Georgia. He went on to make 12 appearances and scored once for the England U19 side.
He made his England Under 20 debut in August 2017, in a 3–0 win over The Netherlands scoring his first goals f in a 5–1 win over Italy
