Large numbers of Police on The Marine Drive Southport.
This afternoon, large numbers of officers from Merseyside Police were on Marine Drive in Southport. They were pulling over motorists at random into the car park.
Officers then asked the driver to leave the vehicle to perform an eyesight test by reading the registration plate of a parked Police vehicle. The distance from the Police vehicle was 20 meters, which had been measured out and marked with chalk.
Of the 20 motorists I saw pulled up all appeared to pass the test.
