Lifeboat Assistance Call Out At Southport Highlights Importance of Unhindered Access

life

Assistance was requested by HM Coastguard Holyhead to locate a despondent male in the region of Southport Pier.

Our quads were tasked and entered the beach at Southport, but were shortly stood down after the individual was taken into the care of the police.

Also in attendance were Southport Coastguard.
We once again appeal to members of the public not to park on the slipway at Southport. Access to the slipway is required 24/7 for emergency services. On this occasion, our lifeboat was not required, but the irresponsible parking on the slipway would significantly hinder, if not restrict, our response.
