Local Man Charged with 16 Burglaries in Southport

Joshua Johnson (27) of an address in Southport, has now been charged with 16 burglaries that took place in Southport town centre, High Park and Churchtown between 13th - 23rd August this year. The burglaries were mostly to small businesses and the damage caused a lot of expense and lost trade to the businesses.
Johnson has been remanded in custody awaiting sentencing.

His arrest and the work leading to this charging decision was a result of some strong collaborative work between the investigation team and Southport Neighbourhood PCSO's and Police Officers, in gathering evidence towards conviction.
