Local Woman Jailed and Men Arrested - Crime Sweep in Southport

Good afternoon from Southport police station.
We haven't been posting all the arrests that Neighbourhood Officers have made recently and we need to keep you more up to date with that information. So here are some results from this week.
DENISE FINNEGAN (36) of an address in Southport was jailed for 12 weeks for theft from a shop in Churchtown where she assaulted a member of staff.
Two men ages 42 and 52 from Lancashire were arrested by Neighbourhood Police Officers yesterday, Tuesday 13th May, on suspicion of going equipped to steal scrap metal from the recycling centre on Foul Lane. They have been bailed with conditions not to enter Southport while investigations continue.
DAVID BIGLEY (45) of an address in Hesketh Bank was also arrested on 13th May for a breach of a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO). Bigley was located within the limits of a mapped area that he is not allowed to enter. He was kept in custody for court today and was returned to jail for another 11 weeks.
Two men were issued with tickets under the Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) by one of our Police Community Support Officers (PCSO's). One for urinating in a public place, the other for alcohol related anti-social behaviour.
A car abandoned on Gordon Street that obstructed a driveway, was ticketed for unnecessary obstruction by another PCSO and was then towed.
We will aim to keep you updated on other arrests and matters of interest to local residents with a bit more regularity.
