Lucky escape for driver after wrong-way crash in Southport outside Sainsbury's

The driver of a Honda Jazz had a lucky escape this morning after driving the wrong way along St Georges Place in Southport.

After driving the wrong way the driver has lost control of their vehicle and smashed through the decorative stone wall and ended up in the gardens outside Sainsbury's.

The wall and a lamp have been smashed to bits. Luckily nobody appears to have been injured in the incident.

St Georges Place is still open to traffic.
