Man hit by Crossbow arrow in Tarleton near Southport critical in Hospital

A man found with a head injury in Tarleton is 'critical' in hospital.
Police were called at shortly after 7am yesterday to a report that a man had been found with a head injury on Brick Kiln Way in Tarleton. It's thought he was attacked with a crossbow.
The man, aged in his 20s, was taken to the Royal Preston Hospital.
A spokesman for Lancashire Constabulary said: “Enquiries are ongoing but at this stage we believe the injury was caused by a crossbow. We are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.
“Our thoughts remain with the man’s family at this time.”
