Man left unconscious following assault at Waterloo Station on the Southport to Liverpool line

Officers investigating an assault against a passenger at Waterloo station in Merseyside are today releasing this image in connection.

At 6pm on Saturday 6 August, an altercation broke out between a man in his 40s and a young man after the young man’s bike hit the other man’s legs.

The young man proceeded to punch the victim once in the face, which caused him to fall to the floor unconscious. The young man then left the station.

Officers believe the man in the CCTV image may have information which could help their investigation.
