Man Reported Carrying Crossbow in Ainsdale Prompts Police Search

We received a call via 101 at 6:57pm last night regarding a sighting of a man carrying a crossbow on Sandbrook Road in Ainsdale. Taser equipped patrols were deployed and an area search was conducted but the man was not located. There were no further calls about this sighting but we are aware of comments about the report on social media.

Neighbourhood Officers will be conducting CCTV enquiries in the area today and tomorrow regarding this report.
