Man wakes up in Banastre Road, Southport to find his car being placed on a recovery truck by Police

Police and a recovery company were called to Banastre Road in Southport this morning (April 1st).

A local resident could not go to work as their driveway had been blocked by a vehicle during the night. Police were called and they were unable to establish which property the vehicle was from as it was not registered in the local area.

The offending vehicle was then dragged out of the way ready to be placed on the recovery truck.

Moments before the vehicle was about to be recovered a man appeared from a nearby house. After a short discussion with the Police officer the man unlocked the vehicle, started it up and parked in a more sensible place.

The Police and recovery driver then left the scene.
