More disruption for Merseyrail passengers travelling to the Wirral

Due to flooding at Hooton the Chester and Ellesmere Port line is disrupted. Disruption is expected until the end of the day.

Impact:
Train services to Ellesmere Port will be terminated at and started back from Hooton.
Additional Information:

There is a very reduced train service runing between Liverpool and Hooton. We advise passengers travelling to Chester to use the Hooton services and change at Hooton for a bus.

A very limited rail replacement bus service is running between Hooton and Chester and Hooton and Ellesmere Port in both directions and where possible Customers should make alternative arrangements.
Ticket acceptance is in place with Transport for Wales between Lime Street and Chester.
