Motorcyclist injured after collision on M61
Police are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist was injured following a motorway collision.
Police were called around 8.50am Sunday, August 22 after a man riding a chopper motorbike northbound on the M61, close to Junction 9, lost control and fell onto the carriageway.
The man, aged 45 and from Clitheroe, suffered serious chest and shoulder injuries. He was taken to Royal Preston Hospital for treatment.
The motorway was closed for more than three hours while accident investigators attended the scene.
Police are appealing for witnesses following the incident.
