Nomination Opens for Sefton CVS Volunteer Celebration Event
As we celebrate the Borough’s 50th anniversary, nominations are now open for the Sefton CVS Volunteer Celebration event, which this year promises to surpass all expectations.
The Mayor of Sefton will give thanks to volunteers who have devoted their time to serving across the borough, recognising contributions from both small groups and large organisations alike.

Volunteer of the Year 2024
Young Volunteer of the Year 2024
Long Service awards
As part of Sefton at 50, the awards line-up has been expanded and your nominations will help shine the spotlight outstanding volunteers in Sefton who deserve special recognition.
The Long Service Awards will be categorised by 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50 years, recognising those volunteers who have shown dedication to organisations through the borough across the last five decades.

Nominations for all the awards will close at 5pm, Friday 24 May 2024.
Precious time
Councillor June Burns, Mayor of Sefton said: “It is so important that we recognise and celebrate the good work our marvellous volunteers do. They give up their precious time to the many varied activities, which in some cases wouldn’t survive without the time they give freely”.
Awards event bookings open
Booking is also now available for organisations in Sefton to attend the Awards event, which takes place at Bootle Town Hall on Thursday 6th June.
It will be a chance to celebrate and recognise volunteers for their dedication and hard work, many of who enable them to provide their services across Sefton.
Organisations may bring up to 10 volunteers or 9 volunteers and 1 staff member.
Booking is essential for this popular event and will close on Friday 24 May 2024.
