Police deal with street drinkers on Lord Street in Southport

Officers from Merseyside Police were dealing with several street drinkers on Lord Street close to Farmfoods this afternoon (26th May). An officer wearing protective gloves searched the people for alcohol and drugs. A member of the public suggested that one of the group may have stolen something from a shop across Lord Street. This has yet to be confirmed.

After a few checks, the officers left with no arrests made.
