Police from Southport recover stolen vehicles

Two stolen vehicles were recovered by Southport Neighbourhood Officers yesterday, Tuesday 1st Nov, following information from members of the public.
Enquiries by PCSO’s into bike thefts in Southport had identified a car as being used in a theft of a bike. The same car was reported by a member of the public as being abandoned in a car park. When officers attended and made further enquiries the car was identified as having been stolen in Formby.
A van which had also been used in crime was reported to us as abandoned in Hightown. Again, Neighbourhood officers attended and identified the van as being a stolen vehicle.
We rely on information/sightings from members of the public to help us achieve good results like these. If you see a vehicle you don’t recognise in a private car park or parked elsewhere that raises your suspicion, report it via the MERSEYSIDE POLICE CONTACT CENTRE page on Facebook, online at https://orlo.uk/pE1Tz or via ringing 101 and we will check it out.
