Police incident at York Terrace in Southport, man arrested

Police were called to York Terrace in Southport at approximately 10.10 this morning 23rd July after a man was reported to be acting suspiciously.

Three police vehicles rushed to the scene and detained a man up a driveway of a house.

He was searched and placed in a police van and taken away.

The man was carrying  three bags that were also taken away.

Officers at the scene would not say anything about the incident.
