Police incident outside Southport Hospital
Police were called to Southport Hospital at approximately 1.00 pm today. They were responding to a concern for the safety of a man. The man was standing on the pavement outside the hospital. Police and a nurse were talking to the man trying to persuade him to go back inside.
Eventually, the man was escorted by the nurse and police into the A&E department for treatment.
