Police patrols lead to arrest of wanted man.

The parks and open spaces of the Southport and Formby area are regular patrol spots for the North Sefton Local Policing Team. Over the last 24 hours they been to Bedford Park, Botanic Garden, Hesketh Park and Crossens Recreation Ground at the north end, while at the south end 7 people were dispersed from the Ince Blundell Lake, one who was in possession of cannabis.

A 38 year old man was identified in Southport town centre by a PCSO as being in breach of a Criminal Behaviour Order. The man then turned out to be wanted on a recall to prison and was arrested.
