Police Respond to Southport Restaurant Break-In, Two in Custody

Two men were arrested on suspicion of burglary at a Southport town centre restaurant in the early hours of this morning, Friday 18th August.

A call was made to police reporting an alarm going off at 3:47 am. Police Officers from A Block patrol, based at Southport Police Station, were on scene two minutes later at 3:49am and the first man was detained trying to make off.

The second man was detained shortly afterwards. Both were arrested on suspicion of burglary and currently remain in custody while investigations continue.
