Police see increase in burglaries in the Southport area around Cemetery Road and Ash Street

Evening Sefton. Christmas Eve is upon us, and Santa will have already started his deliveries around the world, meanwhile our officers are continuing their year round work to help keep Merseyside safe.

Whilst the Christmas period is known as the season of giving, unfortunately it's also a season where we see an increase in people taking things that don't belong to them. In the south Sefton area we've seen an increase in burglaries over the past four weeks, particularly in the estates bordering Rimrose Valley Park.

 We've also seen a number of burglaries in the Southport area, several of which took place around the A5267 corridor, which is Cemetry Road Ash Street area.
