Police stop and search on Lord Street in Southport

Officers from Merseyside Police pulled over a suspicious vehicle on Lord Street in Southport this afternoon.

The vehicle was stopped in the bus and taxi lane close to Eastbank Street.

The occupants were removed from the vehicle and searched at the roadside other officers searched the car.

After checks were carried out nothing was found and the occupants were allowed to continue.
