Police stop and search Upper Aughton Road Southport. Woman refuses to be searched by male officers

Officers from Merseyside Police performed a stop and search on a BMW in Upper Aughton Road at approximately 2.00 pm today(17th July). The vehicle's male driver was searched by an officer at the roadside. The female passenger refused to get out of the vehicle and shouted at the two male officers.

She shouted that there was no way a male officer was frisking her.

Eventually, an unmarked police car arrived with a female officer in it. The woman then got out of the BMW and let the female officer search her. Nothing was found and the occupants of the BMW were allowed to continue their journey.
