Saturday afternoon drugs arrest on the Esplanade in Southport

Officers from Merseyside Police arrested a male on the Esplanade in Southport close to the Bowling Green and the Crazy Golf on Saturday afternoon at approximately 1.30. The male was searched at the roadside and was found to have some suspicious items on him thought to be drugs.

He was eventually arrested and taken to a local police station for questioning.
