Seabank Road in Southport cordoned off after serious assault

Police have cordoned off a section of Seabank Road in Southport after a serious assault last night close to the Peaky Blinders bar.

According to witnesses two men got into a fight around 23.00 hrs and one of them was punched and fell to the ground injuring his head. The other man made off in a vehicle.

The road remains closed as evidence is gathered.
