Sefton Council service closures on Monday 19 September

Some Sefton Council services will be closed on the day of the state funeral of HM Queen Elizabeth II on Monday 19 September. They are:

Council buildings
Libraries
Family Wellbeing centres
Sefton Community Learning centres
Sefton Community Pantry
One Stop Shops
Leisure centres
Golf courses
Telephone contact centre
To allow Council staff to pay respects, our Books of Condolences at Bootle Town Hall and The Atkinson will also be closed on Monday 19 September.

The Books of Condolences will reopen on Tuesday 20 September from 9am until 5pm. They will then be closed, collated, and archived.

Ainsdale beach car park will remain open over the weekend and on Bank Holiday Monday.

Green Waste Collections

Due to the funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on Monday 19th September, green waste collections normally scheduled for that day will be rescheduled for a later date.

We will update those within the areas affected by the change with an alternative collection date in due course.

We would like to thank residents for their understanding and apologise for any inconvenience caused.

All other scheduled collections from Tuesday 20th September onwards remain unaffected.
