Sefton Police Crackdown: 32 Arrests for Drug Driving, and Seven for Drink Driving

Our pursuit of drink and drug drivers who put other motorists and pedestrians in danger through their selfish actions is continuing throughout Sefton this week.

We've already arrested 32 people for drug driving and seven for drink driving, whilst six more have been arrested for other driving offences.

Being under the influence of drink or drugs is one of the main causation factors of fatal and serious injury road traffic collisions.

We've had a high number of fatalities on our roads this winter and have arrested more people than ever before for drink and drug drive.

The consequences of doing it are bad enough for the motorist - loss of licence, prosecution at court, criminal record, driving ban, loss of job or income.

But the consequences for the person or people they hit are catastrophic.
So please don't do it and take an unnecessary risk.
