Severe disruption between Southport and Hunts Cross expected to last till 9.00am

A track fault at Hunts Cross is causing disruption to trains at this station. As a result of this, trains may be cancelled, delayed by up to 40 minutes or diverted.

This is expected to continue until 09:00.

Merseyrail

Services may be terminated / started back at Liverpool South Parkway.

A replacement bus service will be in operation by 07.30 between Liverpool South Parkway and Hunts Cross. Customers can also use their tickets on Arriva Buses on routes 78, 82 & 86 Liverpool South Parkway and Hunts Cross.

Northern

Tickets will be accepted on the following routes:

  • TransPennine Express between Liverpool Lime Street and Manchester Victoria
  • Merseyrail between Liverpool South Parkway and Liverpool Central

 

Train services are unable to run between Liverpool Lime Street and Warrington Central in both directions. Where possible services will divert to convey passengers between Liverpool Lime Street and Manchester Oxford Road. Journey times may be extended by up to 40 minutes.
