Shocking Bike Crash on Southport New Road: Police Appeal for Information

Police are appealing for witnesses after a collision between a car and a motorcycle left a man with serious injuries.
The incident happened at just after 5pm yesterday (Tuesday, July 9th) on Southport New Road in Tarleton when a BMW X6 collided with a BMW R1200RT motorbike.

The rider, a 70-year-old man from Walton le Dale, was left with serious injuries and was taken to hospital where he remains. The car driver was uninjured.

Sgt Laura Kendall, of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “This collision has left a man with some very serious injuries, and I would appeal to anyone who saw what happened or who has any dashcam footage or CCTV to get in touch.”
