Small Cumbrian Village raises £235.09 for Southport victims fund

The Great Clifton Village Fun Day was held in the village near Workington on Saturday, August 4.
Villagers gathered together to enjoy dog shows, children's races, climbing walls and a karaoke on the village green.
The event is organised to raise funds for youth clubs and activities in Great Clifton and has been ran annually for a number of years.
This year, following the tragic events in Southport last Monday, July 29 Great Clifton Parish councillor Peter Gaston decided to do a collection to raise funds for the Southport Victims and Families Fund.
The collection raised £235.09 on the day, with Mr Gaston saying: "The fun day was a great success and it was fantastic to see people donate to raise money for the victims of the events in Southport last week.
"For a small village to raise this much in one day is wonderful."
