Southport FC Announces Retained and Released List for 2025/26 Campaign

Following the conclusion of the 2024/25 National League North season, and the appointment of Neil Danns as first team manager, we can confirm our retained and released list.

The following players remain under contract for the 2025/26 campaign:

  • Jack Doyle

  • Danny Lloyd-McGoldrick

  • Jordan Keane

  • Luke Carroll-Burgess

  • Will Russ

  • Danny Philliskirk

  • Sam Minihan

We are pleased to confirm that options have been triggered in the contracts of Tom Moore and Sonny Hilton.

In addition, discussions are ongoing to reengage with Chris Renshaw, Keenan Quansah and Daniel Pike.

Furthermore, talks are ongoing with David Morgan, who remains Academy Manager, with a view to him joining the first team management team as player/coach.

Harry Flowers, who suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon during last season’s trip to Northern Ireland, has been invited to continue his rehabilitation with Physiotherapist Danny Gabrielson with a view to joining us for preseason when Neil and Mark welcome the players back in June.

Tony McMillan will remain at the Club and join Neil and Mark’s management team as Goalkeeper Coach.

Leaving the Club on the expiration of their current deals will be the following players:

Loanees Aaron Pickles and Jai Curran-Nicholls have returned to their parent clubs, Accrington Stanley and Salford City respectively, and we thank both the players for their efforts whilst with us.
