Southport FC player suffers broken ankle

Unfortunately Southport FC have reported that Russ Benjamin’s ankle is broken and he will be out of action for up to 8 weeks.

Players and supporters all wish Russ a speedy recovery.

Russ sustained the injury in the game at Spennymoor on Saturday which Southport lost 3-2.

Southport's next match is at the Pure Stadium this Saturday against Kidderminster Harriers
