Southport FC Welcomes New Striker Will Russ From Fleetwood Town

Southport FCare delighted to announce the permanent signing of centre forward Will Russ who has made the move from Fleetwood Town.

Will, who is 6 feet 2 has signed a two and a half year deal at the club and is a very exciting player and a player we are all looking forward to seeing in the Southport shirt.

Will is a big strong powerful centre forward who started out in The Academy at Leicester City before joining Fleetwood at the age of 19. Whilst at Fleetwood he has had loan spells at FC United, South Shields, Marine and more recently with Hyde for who he scored the fourth goal in their 4-0 win at Lancaster City on Saturday.

We caught up with Will just after he signed to discuss his move to the club and his career to date.
