Southport Lifeboat Joins Search for Missing Elderly Man

Southport Lifeboat and quads paged to assist in a police search for a missing elderly male in the Ainsdale area.
Our quads searched the beach between Southport and Formby, whilst the boat searched along the tideline.
Southport and Crosby Coastguard Rescue teams carried out searches of the surrounding dunes and forests.
The search was called off at approximately 19:20 as the casualty had been located safely away from the area.
