Southport Lifeboat Quads Tasked in Extensive Missing Person Search

Southport Lifeboat quads tasked by Holyhead Coastguard to assist in the search along the banks of the River Ribble for a missing person from Lytham.

Our quads searched between the old sandworks towards Hesketh Bank, whilst our UAS (drone) began its search in the marshland around Banks before moving towards Hesketh Bank.

Also involved were Lytham St Anne's ILB, which searched the river, and Coastguard teams from Lytham, Southport, Crosby and Fleetwood. Later, the NPAS helicopter was tasked to help assist in the search and covered an area around Warton Aerodrome.

After an extensive, multi-agency search, our units were stood down with nothing found.
