Southport MP Opens New Sainsbury's Store, Bringing 150 Jobs to the Town

I was delighted to open the new Sainsburys store at Meols Cop Retail Park this morning, after the initial plans were originally submitted back in 2014.

This new store is a welcome investment in our town, not only to create 150 new jobs for local workers, but to provide these vital shopping and Electric Vehicle charging facilities both for residents and for the many annual visitors to Southport.

It was great to speak with shoppers who were pleased to have this new store in their area, and the unit is a testament to the continued hard work of Sainsbury's staff.
