Southport Refuse Collection to Continue as Planned over Easter Weekend
Each year, our refuse and recycling crews work on Good Friday and Easter Monday.
Residents are asked to present their bins as usual for collection. Household waste and recycling will be collected as scheduled on Good Friday.
There may, however, be some delay to green garden waste collections on Easter Monday. If your collection is missed, please leave your green bins out as we will have additional resources collecting during the week.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
The schedule for upcoming collections can be found on the Sefton Council website. The website also has information on what items can be placed in each bin or refuse sack.
The Council's Bulky Item Collection service is also available. For a small fee, residents can arrange for collection of up to three items from the Council. These will then be disposed of safely.
The service is handy for anyone wishing to do any home improvement projects over the bank holiday and can be scheduled throughout the year online.
For anyone with excess waste that is unable to be collected through the service, Sefton's household recycling centres are available. Until Sunday 31st March, these are open from 8am until 5pm, with this closing time extending to 8pm from Monday 1st April.
