Southport rescue called out after incident on the beach

The pagers sounded during our crews’ weekly training session following a request by Holyhead Coastguard to assist Merseyside Police with an incident on Southport Beach.

Shortly after the initial call, our quads left the station and quickly located the casualty who was in the care of police officers.

Using the rescue trailer, we were able to assist all personnel off the beach and the casualty was transferred to the North West Ambulance Service on scene.
