Southport v Chorley match off due to Covid incident

The club issued a short statement.

Today’s game against Chorley has been called off due to a COVID incident in the Chorley camp. A new date will be advised in due course.

This would have been the third time in a week that the teams  played each other.

It took a brilliant Marcus Carver goal to settle the tie in the replay on Tuesday in a game between two evenly matched sides.
