Southport battled to a deserved 0-0 draw at King’s Lynn Town on Saturday, 24 October, in difficult conditions.

The Sandgrounders recorded their first clean sheet of the season after a determined performance from an injury-hit squad. It was a game of few chances, with both sides cancelling each other out.

Southport had few anxious moments, although there was concern when Dylan Dwyer was shown a yellow card after the home crowd called for a red. The match became increasingly scrappy before settling into the goalless draw.

Dwyer was named the media’s man of the match.
